EcoFlex cable contains no halogens, phthalates, or heavy metals. The mPPE thermoplastic insulation and jacketing can be easily recycled. They meet RoHS and WEEE requirements for the elimination of hazardous substances and recyclability.

Low Specific Gravity

The 1.03 specific gravity of mPPE is 25% to 40% lower than other insulation materials, such as PVC, polyethylene, and cross-linked polyethylene. Along with the reduced wall thickness, the low specific gravity yields significant weight savings of up to 55% with EcoFlex cable.

Better Dielectric Strength

The superior dielectric properties of mPPE make a reduced wall thickness possible, while maintaining the same electrical properties as a thicker PVC control cable.

PEPPERL+FUCHS G11 AS-Interface Passive Splitters

G11 passive splitters are recent additions to the PEPPERL+FUCHS family of G11 Series AS-Interface I/O Modules. Available in flat cable or M12 male connector versions to satisfy varied application needs, these splitters are sealed to keep out contaminants. They are also ECOLAB certified and IP67 rated for reliable operation in wet environments. In addition to AS-Interface, they are well suited for any power or network distribution requirement.

“More connectors mean that less space is required to distribute an AS-Interface network to the field,” says Tim Cicerchi, Product Manager, Pepperl+Fuchs. “Onboard LEDs provide users with quick and easily identifiable connection status. A green light indicates that the voltage is okay and a red light indicates reverse polarity.”

G11 Series AS-Interface modules feature a simple, round housing design that enables the AS-Interface cable to easily exit the housing in any direction to significantly simplify installation and operation. The round design also leverages an O-ring gasket to make these modules impervious to water jets or submersion.

With its unique yellow flat cable, AS-Interface supplies power to sensors and actuators, and enables users to transfer data to up to 31 analog nodes per AS-Interface network. Retrofitting AS-Interface is extremely simple, and the installation time and costs are much lower compared to conventional wiring technology. AS-Interface transfers data reliably, is extremely resistant to electromagnetic interference, has a diagnostic function and can detect faults such as short circuits.

HONEYWELL’S ZEPHYR™ DIGITIAL AIRFLOW SENSORS

Honeywell first introduced the Zephyr™ airflow sensors HAF Series in March 2010 with a digital output version, 200 SCCM, a long port fastener mount, and a short port snap mount. This product is considered the foundational building block of the Honeywell Zephyr™ portfolio. Honeywell’s customers use the Zephyr building block with their own bypass solution. The bypass serves as the main airflow channel in the equipment, such as a ventilator.

Honeywell is pleased to announce its new Zephyr™ Digital Airflow Sensors that provide an airflow range from 0 to 20 SLPM and 0 to 200 SLPM. These new devices have been designed for customers who don’t want to create their own bypass solution. Honeywell has affixed the Zephyr building block airflow sensor directly to the bypass, eliminating customers having to design their own bypass and saving them time and effort.
